Information to Keep in Mind

  • Trust Between the Signer and Notary

For a signer, knowing that a notary is impartial and follows ethical guidelines fosters confidence. This trust is created through professionalism and adherence to state laws. A signer must feel assured that their personal information is handled with the utmost confidentiality, and that the notary will remain unbiased throughout the transaction.

Respect for a signers privacy is foundational to building healthy relationships. It involves acknowledging that every individual has personal boundaries and confidential information that may be difficult to share during a signing appointment.

  • Appropriate Identification

Acceptable forms of ID in Washington state include: State IDs, Passports, Driver’s Licenses, Military IDs, and Green Cards (expired IDs are not accepted)

These IDs must be issued by a federal or state government (or any foreign government that the State Department recognizes), and have the signer’s photograph, physical description, and signature.

  • Travel Cost

My notary services can be brought to private homes, businesses/offices, coffee shops, hotels, senior centers, hospitals, rehab facilities, retirement homes, jails, and so many more public spaces!

    Travel Fees for Further Destinations:

    Maple Falls/Deming Area: $15

    Sudden Valley: $15

    Fairhaven: $15

    Lummi Island (Including Ferry): $25

    Skagit County: $35

  • My Promise to You

My obligation is primarily to serve as an impartial witness to the signing of important documents, ensuring that the identities of the signers are confirmed and that the signing process is conducted in a fair and legal manner.

It is crucial for me as the notary signing agent to ensure that all parties are signing the document(s) willingly, without any coercion, duress, or fraud.

As the appointed NSA at any meeting, I must remain neutral. I will not have a financial interest in the transaction or provide legal advice.

At no time will I offer any opinions, suggestions or thoughts during an appointment about the legal topics discussed with a signer.
